In addition to sending kids to camp, Halo of Hope helps families of those affected by pediatric cancer and blood disorder illness in Northwest Indiana and nearby Chicago. This year, the Halo foundation began a program called “Love Bundles.” Our program is designed to help maintain the quality of life of our Halo kids by providing necessities, as well as comfort items to our patients and their families. During times of treatment, many families face hardships paying bills and maintain semi-normal lifestyles. As a result, the Halo Team decided to create a program called Love Bundles that provides baskets to families in need.
We are conducting Love Bundle Drives throughout the community and working with local schools and organizations. Please feel free to download our wish list of items that we are looking to provide in Love Bundles throughout the year. Items range from small everyday things to larger items. Any type of item donated is greatly appreciated, and will help grow the Love Bundle Program.
The following list of items will go to kids (age 1-18yrs). These items go into Love Bundle packages for the kids and their family when they receive the devastating news of illness or need a pick-me-up during cancer or blood treatment. The Love bundles program gifts kids, moms, dads and siblings with hospital and support information and resources for the parents as their child faces diagnosis and treatment. Your donation will be part of a smile, a bit of sunshine for a family like yours that really needs hope.
